Pastor Jeff Connor moved to Lakeland, Florida from Eckhart, Maryland in 1979 and graduated from Lakeland High School in 1982.
In the summer of 1983, he became Youth Pastor at New Life Assembly of God in Cumberland, Maryland. He attended Southeastern Bible College in Lakeland, FL and later accepted a position as Youth Pastor at Conway Assembly of God, in SC.
In 1986, he served as Youth Pastor for five years at Family Worship Center located in Lakeland, FL working under Pastor Reggie Scarborough.
He pioneered Haines City Worship Center located in central Florida in March, 1991 with a congregation of 100 people. In August of 1994, with a congregation of 240 people, Haines City Worship Center moved its congregation to Winter Haven, FL and became Winter Haven Worship Center. Since that time, the church has grown into a congregation size of approximately 700 people. Pastor Jeff’s messages can be viewed for free on the website, subscribed to as an audio podcast, or purchased on DVD in the church bookstore.
Pastor Jeff married Kimberly Clark whom he met while attending Southeastern College. Kimberly is from Greenville, South Carolina and is currently authoring the weekly devotional on our website entitled “A Light Moment.”
They have three children: Jenna, age 21, Sean, age 18, and Alexis, age 13.
